About me

My name is James Clark, and I’m the founder of Urban Rail Transit.

I write about travel at Nomadic Notes and transport and urban development at Future Southeast Asia.

Over the years since I began publishing, I have developed an interest in transit systems. I have been living in Ho Chi Minh City on a part-time basis since 2012, which was when the first line of the HCMC Metro began construction. There was no official metro-style map of the future network, so I created my own map of the HCMC Metro.

I started Future Southeast Asia so I could have a site dedicated to transport and urban development. One of my projects was to create a Ho Chi Minh City metro concept map.

urbanrailtransit.com is my online hub for information about transit systems. I often find myself frustrated by not being able to find full-sized maps of metro systems, so I am putting all the maps in one place.
